    2. Maybe the policy isn't the problem. Maybe the problem is the large population. You have to decide what you're trying to say.

    1. I have no idea what you're talking about. You have to be more specific about this problem!

    2. I think the basis for all the principal problems in our nation is our way of thinking, which is a "smaller" problem. But, it is not small.

      Delete
    3. What is the problem with your way of thinking?

      Delete
    4. Oh, I get it now. But, I don't know if I could talk about 3 aspects because I reduced them in "the way of thinking". If I have to talk about only one aspect, I will talk about "Ignorance and naivety as the basis of the problems in Mexico." In fact, those are two aspect, but they are correlated. Could you explain me tomorrow the meaning and the pronunciation of "naivety" beacause I used Google Translate to know the correct word, but I'm not sure whether I'm OK or not.

    5. But is ignorance the problem or is it the cause of some other problem/s?

  9. On my presentation I want to talk about what in my opinion is the greatest problem that my country, Venezuela, has which is social unrest. In 2012 the crime in the country was placed in the first position like the most violent country in the world. The Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Miguel Rodriguez Torres, announced, "crime in the country felt in 2013: the rate of kidnappings felt by 51.7% and 17.3% of homicides"; however, the oficial data doesn't mach with the annual report of the Venezuelan Observatory of Violence (OVV, for its acronym in Spanish) ( Rodríguez, Alejandra 2014)

    1. So the Civil War was the cause of the problem, but what exactly is the problem?
In other words, I think one of your effects is the problem. Please clarify before starting to work on this.

    2. Hi Holly may change my topic to: The Alcoholism among Young People in Angola?

      Delete
    3. Yes, that's a good topic. However, I would really have liked to learn about the Civil War since I know nothing about that.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Is social inequality the problem or is it the cause of other problems, such as poverty?

      Delete
    2. The principal problem is poverty but I want to talk about social inequality because in my country is possible to find the richest man of the world and communities living in extreme poverty.

      Delete
    3. I think the problem here is poverty and then you can discuss social inequality as the cause of the problem, but be careful if you are suggesting that everyone is poor BECAUSE the one man is rich unless he's a slave owner and they're all his slaves!

    1. Can you state what the problem is precisely?

    2. There are many Kurdish people living in the south east of Turkey. They have had some problems with maintaining their culture because of oppression. Beginning from 1980's, a guerrilla war by the rebellion Kurds has been going on despite some temporary withdrawals. Today, negotiations are made between actors to end the armed conflict.

    1. This seems like a very big topic, too big for 8-10 minutes. You need to focus on one problem. The recent (or gradual) decline of civil rights can be your problem.
